Mary Ann Rainey is an organizational effectiveness consultant and executive coach based in Chicago, Illinois specializing in the application of holistic perspectives to improve organizational performance and transformation. Her work with leaders focuses on understanding executive leadership and developing executive presence. Her client base represents sectors of energy, retail, healthcare, government, education, banking and finance in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Her portfolio includes clients such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Office of the President of Champlain College, Educational Testing Service, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ralph Lauren, Society of American Archivists, Xylem Inc., Yale New Haven Hospital System, and YSA Developing Leadership.

Mary Ann has broad leadership experience as former Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness for Exelon Corporation and former Vice City Manager of the City of East Cleveland, Ohio. Early in her career, for six years, she was a news reporter for WJMO Radio in Cleveland, an affiliate of United Broadcasting Company.

Mary Ann is currently Adjunct Professor of Business Ethics and Responsible Leadership in the Executive MBA Program at Loyola University in Chicago and faculty in certificate programs in change management and organization development in Oxford, England; Mumbai, India; and Singapore. Other teaching experience includes management and doctoral programs at Case Western Reserve University and Benedictine University. She has been a facilitator of leadership programs at numerous Fortune 500 companies.

Mary Ann holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, a M.S. in Counseling and Human Resources and a B.S. in Business Management. Her writings cover leadership, use-of-self and personal presence, and organizational change and resistance.
